Casanovas Recruitment Solutions have an exciting brand-new opportunity as a Commercial Accountant to join expanding and dynamic company. This is a newly created role for the company so a fantastic opportunity for scope and development of the role. The position of Commercial Accountant is for a successful and thriving company who specialize in niche manufacturing, the role will be based in the Basildon area on a full-time basis.

Job Purpose:

As a Commercial Accountant you will provide support to the Finance Director by implementing and monitoring the Accounting Systems, Procedures, Policies and Projects.


  • Discuss with MP&L team daily the live Sales forecast for the upcoming week and report back to Finance Director/Commercial Director, taking into account supply chain factors. 
  • Managing relationships with key production suppliers from an accounts perspective.
  • Workings closely with the Manufacturing Manager and General Manager to understand any potential shortage points with supply chain partners with the forecast, feeding back to Finance Director and Commercial Director.
  • This is an agile role where you will be required to move across the facility throughout the day to liaise with various departments.
  • Discuss with MP&L daily a purchasing forecast for the upcoming month(s) and report back to Finance Director/Commercial Director.
  • Working with Suppliers to progress critical deliveries.
  • Prepare a MP&L Cashflow forecast based on the above information and report to Finance Director/Commercial Director.
  • Ensure delivery timings are communicated to Finance Director/Commercial Director and oversee document flow i.e. delivery notes are returned to Finance Dept.
  • Chasing any outstanding delivery notes across Operational team.
  • Match delivery notes to invoices and prepare for ID Upload on system.
  • Assisting the Finance Director for ad hoc requirements.


  • Able to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Full & Valid Driving Licence as Supplier visits may be required from time to time 
  • Able to write complex formulas in excel.
  • Experience in a similar manufacturing role is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and reliability.
  • Proactive and innovative.
  • To work effectively on your own and as part of a team, with a positive 'can-do’ attitude. • The ability to prioritise workload.
  • The ability to work well and accurately in a time-constrained and pressured environment. • Good written and verbal communication skills.
