Casanovas Recruitment Solutions is excited to be representing an established client looking for an Senior Accountant on a Fixed Term Contract to support the Finance functions during a systems implementation, based in Colchester for the duration of the contract lasting between 12 – 15 months.
The purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth running of existing finance systems, whilst the in-house finance team implement and learn a new system for system improvements.
Core Responsibilities of Senior Accountant:

• Ensuring the smooth running of existing finance system to alleviate the pain points during the change project
• Assist in delivery of yearend financial statement preparation
• Liaising with external auditors
• Oversee monthly close, review balance sheet recs, review monthly finance packs
• Management of the capital programme, liaising with budget holders
• Reporting to various board levels
• Support with process change implementation
• Lead the quarterly re forecasting and expected annual out turn, reporting and utilizing data for solution focused outcomes

 The ideal Senior Accountant will have:

• Be available for the 12 - 15 month term contract
• Qualified accountant – ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA
• Ideally, experience working with local/government authorities
• Experience of finance system implementation a real bonus
