The role:

This company have an exciting opportunity for a full-time IT Business Analyst to join their dynamic IT team. Working in a hybrid environment, you will be required to spend at least two days a week at the head office in Colchester, two days working from home and one day working from either Basildon, Chelmsford or London.

This thriving company is on an exciting IT journey of transition and change, adopting and implementing modern technologies to enable it to deliver the best in client service. The role of IT Business Analysts will be a key part of the journey and will share knowledge, technical expertise, and support to the team and wider firm to facilitate the successful execution of the project.

Day to day in the role:

  • To assist with the delivery of IT projects across the firm.
  • You will be expected, to participate in all areas of a projects development – management, analysis, change management and implementation.
  • Liaising with third-party suppliers to ensure that projects are delivered on time, and to budget.
  • To provide day-to-day project support on a range of IT initiatives that are being deployed across the firm such as analysis of working practices, change management during the deployment of projects and implementation support
  • Working across all departments to ensure that the individual groups receive the project support they require.
  • Management of third-party project resources/suppliers as and when required.
  • Keep abreast of developments in relation to key technologies.

Required skills and Qualifications

The successful IT Business Analyst will have proven experience in deploying small/medium-sized projects within a professional services company. 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • the ability to work with third-party suppliers.
  • demonstrable problem-solving, project management, analytical, and change management skills.
  • have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • the capability to work to the highest standards, documenting and sharing relevant knowledge with colleagues.
  • have good time management and analytical skills with the ability to build rapport and liaise effectively with customers, colleagues and suppliers.
  • be inquisitive and eager to learn.
  • be prepared to work long hours when required.
  • Have a general understanding of Microsoft-based technologies, principles of Client Relationship Management
  • Graduate or equivalent.
  • Qualified HND, BA, BSc, NVQ Level IV or equivalent in computing or other related disciplines.
  • It would be advantageous to hold ITIL Foundation.
