Casanovas Recruitment Solutions is excited to be representing who is one of the UK’s leading contractors to the Residential Development industry looking for someone to join their team as a Part-time Payroll & HR Officer.

The Role

Our client is looking for a Payroll Professional to join their HR team. The role will be solely responsible for running their PAYE weekly and monthly payrolls, as well as their weekly CIS pay run.

The role will be part-time (minimum of 24 hours per week) and based at the Head office in Chelmsford, with flexibility to offer Hybrid working. Full training and support will be given to the successful candidate.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process the weekly and  monthly PAYE payroll
  • Process weekly CIS Subcontractor payment runs
  • Check and quality assure all payroll entries such as time sheets, starters and leavers
  • Manage and process all Monthly submissions such as HMRC, CIS returns, Pensions, AOE’s
  • Adherence to payroll compliance and statutory reporting requirements
  • Manage and process benefits and pension including, medical insurance, childcare voucher scheme, loans, ride to work etc
  • Support the annual salary and benefits review process ensuring data is correct and accurately applied to the payroll and benefit/pension schemes.
  • Administer employee lifecycle processes (starters, leavers, changes to T&C’s etc)
  • Maintenance of HR system and records in line with data protection guidelines
  • Manage holiday and absence records
  • Support and assist with employee health surveillance

Experience and Qualifications

The ideal successful candidate will have:

  •  Strong payroll knowledge, with experience of CIS payroll being essential.
  • Previous experience of payroll software MHR and financial software Navision, desirable.
  • CIPP qualified, desirable.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • A can-do, proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
