Casanovas Recruitment Solutions have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Manager working within Employee Relations. This will be an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity within a large Suffolk based organisation. As a HR Manager you will reporting to the Chief People Officer and will be responsible for employee relations across the organisation, in particular managing disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence casework. The role will support the organisation in retaining a high performing workforce, which supports the organisational aims strategic aims and ensures expert advice and support on HR related matters.
The role:
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee employee relations casework across the organisation, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence, ensuring cases are managed in line with internal policy and employment legislation.
Line manage a small team of HR Leads and Officers.
Provide advice and guidance to all employees on relevant policies, procedures and any relevant legislation.
Work with senior leaders and managers to execute effective resolutions to cases.
Provide coaching, guidance and training to Managers to support a proactive and effective approach to people management.
Support with Change Management projects as required
Collate and present information briefings on a range of HR topics.
Oversee HR Information and Data including the completion of statutory returns such as Gender Pay Gap Reporting and School Workforce Census.
Lead the development of our ‘HR Zones,’ which are our internal HR intranet sites.
Conduct meetings with our Union Representatives as appropriate.
Maintain and evidence continuing on-going professional development.
Work with the Chief People Officer (CPO) to ensure policies are up to date and in line with current legislation and practice and provide suggestions for improvement, developing new policies as necessary.
Create reports as and when necessary.
Skills required:
Minimum of CIPD level 5 qualified
Evidenced CPD
In-depth knowledge of current employment legislation and best HR practice.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to prepare written reports and make presentations to managers and staff.
Competent IT skills and the ability to navigate around various systems and packages.
Strong organisational skills
Ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation
Experience of leading and managing a team.
Extensive experience of managing a complex portfolio of HR Casework.
Experience of managing projects
Ability to drive and be able to travel to several Suffolk based sites.

Self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy or as part of a team.
Attention to detail with ability to also see the wider strategic view.
Able to work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the organisations; able to travel independently to other sites as necessary
